Speed

With outstanding full color speed of 168 A4 / 172 US letter images per minute the ColorStream is able to speed up to 800 A4 / 852 US letter images per minute when it comes to b/w printing. Automatically and even within one application.

Flexibility

With the ColorStream you can print next to 1/1, 2/2, 3/3 and full-color output also full-color with an additional Océ CustomTone® spot color for the accurate reproduction of e.g. your corporate logo. All on one single platform at production cost and speed. It can handle paper from bible to post card stock, coated or uncoated. Due to its web-fed technology it can also handle oversized formats which is e.g. interesting for signature printing or 6-page brochures.

Quality

GraphicArts Dot Modulation, Inline color calibration, advanced color management – the ColorStream is equipped with the technical prerequisits to provide you with brilliantly sharp reproduction of both B/W and color images and color constistency.

Profitability

Flexible TCO is the buzzword. With the ColorStream you get color and CustomTone (spot color), or b/w – not only at production speed but also cost. This offers a huge advantage compared to other full color systems.

One versatile platform – two powerful families

The ColorStream is available in two models: The ColorStream 9000, the cost-efficient, flexible full color printing system for transpromo applications, featuring standard bilevel printing quality. However if you have the need of higher quality for sophisticated applications there is the ColorStream 10000, providing sharp details and smooth gradations with multilevel imaging technology. Océ ColorStream 10040 at CFI

The very first Océ ColorStream 10040 four-color digital press has been installed at CFI Technologies since the beginning of September. iF Best Digital Product of the Year 2008

The Océ ColorStream 10000 has won an award at drupa being the "Best Digital Product of the Year 2008" in the category web-fed production printer full color. The awards are organised by the European Digital Press Association, an alliance of the major European trade publications for the digital print industry.

In the award presentation the printer characteristics were summarised as follows:

"The Océ ColorStream 10000 is a full-color printer that meets all the requirements of the graphic arts market for quality, productivity and cost. Great value comes from built-in Océ GraphicArts dot modulation for brilliantly sharp reproduction of black and white and color images. The Océ ColorStream 10000 delivers full process color at 168 A4 ipm for graphic arts jobs while running monochrome at 800 A4 ipm. iF product design award 2009

The Océ ColorStream recently won a prestigious iF Design award from the International Forum Design Institute for design excellence. For over 50 years, the iF Product Design Awards have recognized products for outstanding innovation and outstanding standards.
This year 802 products have been awarded. 2,808 products from 1025 contestants submitted from 39 different countries, competed for a coveted iF product design award. The ColorStream was able to successfully assert itself in a highly competitive, international environment.
Evaluation criteria include quality, workmanship, materials, innovation, environmental compatibility, ergonomics and safety. The latest iF awards will be presented on March 3 at the Cebit Fair in Hannover, Germany. Visit the ColorStream page on the IF website.
